The read Jackson Heights in short

Jackson Heights is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the world, with Latino and South Asian communities, restaurants, and markets. The Jackson Heights Historic District (built 1914-1939, 2,203 contributing buildings) is where the Queensboro Corporation coined the term garden apartment — internal courtyard co-ops centered on Diversity Plaza near the 74th St-Broadway station. Jackson Heights is also the birthplace of Scrabble: architect Alfred Mosher Butts worked out the game here in 1938, testing it at the Community United Methodist Church, and a street sign at 35th Avenue and 81st Street now renders the avenue's name with Scrabble tile values.
