Sunset Park takes its name from its 24.5-acre hilltop park, whose ridge — a few blocks from Green-Wood Cemetery — delivers panoramic views of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty, and the neighborhood is home to diverse immigrant communities, including a large Chinatown along 8th Avenue. On the waterfront, Bush Terminal, which Irving T. Bush began building out in 1895 and built out into a vast integrated rail, shipping, and manufacturing complex, anchored the industrial shore; much of it now operates as Industry City, a campus of studios, food halls, and light manufacturing.
